Application Preparation for Pre-med Students

Application Preparation for Pre-med Students (APPS) is a 5-day intense application preparation program for pre-medical and pre-dental students who will be applying in the current cycle. APPS is designed to help highly motivated students learn how to showcase their abilities, skills, and motivation throughout the application process to medical or dental school. Students receive hands-on individual support during the 5-day APPS program.

When is APPS?

Apps Session two will take place May 6-10 from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM at the Boca Campus

Course Topics

Participants will have the opportunity to network with like-minded students who are also ready to apply. Some highlights of the program include:

  • Comprehensive AMCAS/ACOMAS overview
  • Personal statement workshops (one-on-one feedback)
  • Interview skills workshops
  • Mock interviews and interview skill evaluation (one-on-one)
  • Committee Interview (Committee Letter if applicable)
  • FAU College of Medicine, UF Dental, LECOM, NOVA special admission workshops
  • One-on-one faculty and staff interaction
  • Previous student Q &A and advise
  • Materials, food, and beverages provided throughout
  • Tours of a few local medical and dental programs

Can Anyone Join APPS?

Not anyone. Students must have a minimum of 60 hours of earned college credit (REQUIRED), a minimum 3.4 overall GPA, Pre-health, and be ready to apply for the upcoming cycle (2023-2024).

  • Sweater and comfortable clothes
  • Business Attire for Interview Day

Session 2 will run at the Boca Campus building ME105 second floor room 223. May 6 -10 9:00 am to 4:30  pm every day.
