Undergraduate Studies
The Charles E. Schmidt College of Science at Florida Atlantic University has long been recognized for the high quality of
its academic programs and for the accomplishments of its faculty in the areas of research and scholarship. The college awards
the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in biology, chemistry, geosciences, math, physics, and psychology. The Bachelor
of Arts programs are offered in the liberal arts tradition. They permit greater elective breadth with less specialization than
the Bachelor of Science programs. The Bachelor of Science programs meet the requirements of professional organizations in the sciences
and provide the more intensive training required for admission to graduate work. Specialized tracks can be chosen in certain majors
to further ensure a depth of study within the discipline. For highly motivated and prepared students in biology, chemistry, and
mathematics, it is possible to earn the Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science degrees in 5 years of study. Click here for accelerated BS/MS degrees.
