Graduate Student Advisory Committee to the Dean
The GSACD is made up of graduate students from each of the graduate programs in the college and meets to discuss various issues pertaining to graduate student life in the College. The committee organizes events, discusses problems and is a channel for communication to the dean of the college. The Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Research sits ex officio on the committee as an advisor to the committee, and acts as the liaison between the dean and committee. Currently the Chair of this committee is Elizabeth Courtney White (Psychology).
New programs and new course proposals
New graduate program proposals and graduate New Course Proposals or Changes in Course Title should first be approved by the department and then submitted to the College Graduate Programs Committee for approval. Once approved by the college committees, the proposal is forwarded to the university graduate programs committee for approval, then to the UFS for approval.
College Graduate Programs Committee
The College Graduate Programs Committee is usually composed of the department and program graduate directors elected by each department. At its first meeting each Fall, the committee elects a chairperson who also serves and represents the college on the university graduate programs committee—a committee of the UFS.
