Sample Preparation

Target RNA should be of good quality. An A260/A280 ratio should range between 1.8 and 2.1. Housekeeping Kit controls (Roche) are supplied as in vitro transcribed RNA, encoding a part of the gene, and are provided as prediluted standard solutions. All samples, standards and targets, are processed identically.

5ul of standard RNA’s and 2ug of Total RNA targets are DNAse treated, followed by 1st strand cDNA synthesis, phenol/chloroform extraction, ethanol precipitation and resuspension in nuclease free water.
