* The 2009 Nobel Symposium at FAU - Friday 6th Feb, 2009. The Chemistry Club volunteered to help organize this highly successful event . We were able to meet  with the Nobel Laureate, Dr. Bert Sakmann in a question and answer session as well as attend a reception at President Brogan’s house after the symposium. It was a pleasure and an honor to meet Dr. Sakmann.

* Science Olympiad - Saturday 7th Feb, 2009. Thank you all our volunteers who participated in the Science Olympiad! The event was a great success and the Chemistry Club directed event - "Crime Busters" was one of the premier events of the Olympiad. Congratulations to Dan and Jason your hard work really paid off! Please see Alli's photos of the event via the media link below.

* ACS National Chemistry Week (NCW) Symposium - Saturday Oct 25, 2008 (12pm-5pm) at the Museum of Discovery and Science in Ft. Lauderdale. The ACS (American Chemical Society) will sponsor this event which entails a series of 5-10min presentations regarding several different scientific and chemical discussions. If interested in attending this event, or participating in presentations, please email us and we will accommodate your needs.

* Pumpkin Drop/Entropy Boom - Friday Oct 31 2008 (11-1:30pm) between the General North 101 classroom building and the Science and Engineering Building. We will be demonstrating a variety of different experiments, and hosting fun activities for the children. Remember, the media is going to be there for this event, so lets make this a blast. If anyone is interested in helping organize activities for this event, please email us and your suggestions/help will be recognized.

* FAU Chemistry Club Formal Banquet Fall 2008 - Nov 15, 2008 (5pm-9pm) in the Grand Palm room. The purpose for this event is to bridge the gap between undergrads/grads/faculty by providing a mix and mingle type of atmosphere. The Chemistry Club will also be presenting a powerpoint presentation of all of the accomplishments which we have completed throughout this semester, and all of the future goals which we can't wait to accomplish. Only active Chemistry Club members will be able to attend by invitation only.

Remember guys, if you have not paid the $15 club fee, you will not be able to partake in any of these events. The club fee will provide adequate funding for certain events, food and drinks, and will ensure a guaranteed Banquet invitation. Again, we thank those of you who are actively participating in the club and events we offer.

Thanks to all that came to the above events and supported the club. We appreciate your time and support! The banquet went better than expected and we're looking forward to a great next semester!
