National Science Foundation GK-12 Program: Latest News
We are proud to announce that three of our Resident Scientists, Percy Tumbale, Vanessa Seamon and Matthew Rowan presented at The Charles E. Schmidt College of Biomedical Science Research Day on Oct 23, 2008.
The titles of their presentations included :
Screening a limited structure-based library indentifies UDP-GalNac-specific mutants of a-1,3 galactosyltransferase.
Percy Tumbale, Haryati Jamaluddin, Nethaji Thiyagarajan, K. Ravi Acharya and Keith Brew
The function of glutamate transporter subtype EAAT2B in retinas. Matthew Rowan and Wen Shen
Ovariectomy persistently increases the gene expression and protein levels of IL-1B, IFN-y and CXCL13 over time. Vanessa Seamon, Helmuth Quinonez and Ana Maria Azzarolo
In addition, Percy Tumbale and Matthew Rowan were awarded Best Poster Presentations at the awards ceremony. Congratulations go out to Matt and Percy!
