PhD. Student Glenn Coldren selected for TTU Dresden Introductory Course in Individual- and Agent-Based Modeling
The course has 25 particiapnts from 5 continents and is being offered by Dresden University of Technology in Germany from July 20 to August 2nd 2008. The course was offered for the first time in October 2007 with 19 participants. The course will cover the basics of agent based modeling, Netlogo software and producing an agent based modeling project. Instructors include Volker Grimm, Steve Railsback, Cyril Piou and Uta Berger. Additionally, the course includes a cultural enrichment portion involving experiencing German landmarks such as several Dreseden museums and S?chsische Schweiz National Park. Applications were available for all graduate students with all non-german students that were selected being provided funding for all course fees, boarding, some meals, and 600 Euros (~$930) for travel. Funding is provided by Dresden University and the German Academic Exchange Service. The website for the course is below.
