Two IB PhD Students receive 2007-2008 Dissertation Grant Award from the Division of Research at FAU

Jianfeng Du, joined IB Program in 2003 and acquired PhD candidacy in 2007 after his presentation of the proposal was approved. Jianfeng is one of PhD students in Dr. Huang's lab in the College of Biomedical Science. For the past 5 years, he has published 7 research papers (3 of which are first-author papers) and received a Predoctoral Fellowship from American Heart Association ($42,000) in 2007.

Zheng Jiang, joined IB Program in 2004 and acquired PhD candidacy in 2007. Zheng is one of the PhD students in Dr. Shen's lab in the College of Biomedical Science. For the past 4 years, Zheng has published 2 first-author papers and has 2 papers in review. He was invited to give an oral presentation in 2007 and 2008 ARVO annual meetings and was highly evaluated.
