The Biology of Turtles  

Jeanette Wyneken has just published a book entitled "The Biology of Turtles", co-Edited by Jeanette Wyneken, Matthew Godfrey and Vincent Bels (13 chapters, 408 pages, 35 authors). It's a comprehensive discussion that spans the enigmatic orgins of turtles, their morphological diversity, feeding, locomotion, heart and lung adaptations. Sarah Milton wrote one chapter on turtle neurobology, hypoxia and anoxia tolerances. Jeanette wrote one chapter on cardiopulmonary anatomy and function.
