Financial Assistance for PhD Students
Financial
support for qualified students will be available as Teaching
Assistantships in the Department of Biological Sciences and other
departments and as Research Assistantships from individual faculty
members with funded research programs. The stipend for doctoral students in the Intergrative Biology program, who are appointed as graduate teaching assistants, is $15,000 for the 9 month academic year. The annual rate, which includes summer is $20,000 per year. A limited number of summer teaching assistantships in the Department of Biological Sciences are usually available on a competitive basis. Both Teaching and Research
Assistantships are awarded on a competitive basis. For Research
Assistantships, prospective students are encouraged to contact
individual faculty members in the program.
